Fall Field Trips
(September - October)
Local schools can sign their group up for our hands-on life science class in the apple orchard and pumpkin patch. Our standard tour
is approximately 1.5 hours in length. We will also be offering a shorter 1 hour express tour for schools with time constraints.
We will begin accepting reservations starting July 15.
1 Hour Tour
We are offering a limited number of the 1 Hour Elementary Tours for groups with time constraints.
What’s included in the 1 hour tour:
- Lesson about the apple orchard and honeybees.
(This tour does not visit the observation beehive.) - Pick apples from the orchard to take home.
- Wagon ride to the pumpkin patch with a pumpkin lesson.
- Everyone picks a small pumpkin.
Tour Times for 1 Hour Tour:
- 10:30am to 11:30am
- 11:30am to 12:30pm
- 12:30pm to 1:30pm
- Groups should arrive 15 minutes early to complete
check-in and use the restrooms before tours
Cost:
$12 per person for everyone ages 2 & older
- 1 free teacher for every 10 students
- Minimum 15 participants per group or $180 per group
You are welcome to stay longer for the following activities:
- 30 minutes of free time in the FarmYard, which is our activities area with over 30 different activities
- Picnic tables available to bring your school lunches
1.5 Hour Tour
The 1.5 hour tour includes the apple orchard, apple production areas, and pumpkin patch.
What’s included in the 1 hour tour:
- Lesson about the apple orchard.
- Economics of farming lesson for older students.
- Pick 4 apples from the orchard to take home.
- Visit the observation beehive with a lesson about honeybees.
- Wagon ride to the pumpkin patch with a pumpkin lesson.
- Everyone picks a small pumpkin.
- Visit the apple production areas (cooler, grader, cider areas).
- Learn how we make cider with a visit to the cider press.
- Sample of our award winning apple cider.
Tour Times for 1.5 Hour Tour:
- 10:00am to 11:30am
- 11:30am to 1:00pm
- Groups should arrive 15 minutes early to complete

$14 per person for everyone ages 2 and older
- 1 free teacher for every 10 students
- Minimum 15 participants per group or $210 per group

Reservations for schools can be made online for fall tours starting July 15. Homeschool groups and co-ops should call to schedule a tour.

Spring Field Trips
(March - April)
Want to help your students learn about how things grow in a hands-on environment?
Tuttles is now offering spring field trips for preschool and elementary students. Our spring greenhouse field trips provide kids a hands-on opportunity to see a greenhouse first-hand and learn about where things grow.
$12 per student + 1 adult/spectator
$5 for each additional adult/spectator
1 Free teacher per every 15 students.
