2 medium-large tomatoes
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs flour
1 pre-made pizza crust (we used bamboli)
1 red onion
1 Tbs honey
real mozzarella cheese (small ball about 4 oz.)
4 slices cold press salami, cut in pieces
1/2 avocado, thinly sliced
1/2 cup micro greens
1/4 Parmesan cheese
10 basil leaves
To make the sauce: Boil the tomatoes whole until just begin to boil and the skins start to crack. Remove and dunk in cold water. Remove skins. In skillet, saute garlic in olive oil. Cut out tomato core. Place in skillet with garlic and mash with spatula until separated. Add 1/4 cup water. Cook on high for approx 5 minutes. Turn to medium heat and continue to cook. Take 1 tbs of tomato mixture and mix with 1 tbs flour. Return to pan. Simmer for approx 10 more minutes or until thicker. Set aside.
To make the caramelized onions: Thinly slice onion. Cook in olive oil on medium/low heat with honey until onions are carmelized.
