Smashed Ranch Red Potatoes


2 lbs. Red Potatoes
4 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 packet Ranch Seasoning


I thought I knew all the different way to eat potatoes… until I found the idea for smashed potatoes with ranch seasoning on These have quickly become my favorite way to enjoy potatoes! I enjoy my potatoes crispy but you can adjust this recipe according to however you like yours.

Boil your potatoes until tender, approximately 20 minutes. If your potatoes are bigger, you will want to cut them in halves but smaller red potatoes can be left whole.

Spread about 2 Tbsp. of the olive oil on your baking sheets, making sure it is completely covered. Then place your potatoes on the sheet

Use a potato masher (or a fork if you don’t have one!) to smash the potatoes until they are approximately 1/2 inch thick.

Drizzle the remaining olive oil over your potatoes and then sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly across them.

Bake your potatoes at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes or until you reach your desired level of crispiness. I did mine for 25 minutes for a moderately crispy smashed potato!
