Homemade Peach Ice Cream

1 cup of peaches, pureed
1 cup of peaches, finely diced
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt

Break out your ice cream maker this summer… this recipe is delicious!! The peach puree gives the ice cream lots of flavor but the finely chopped pieces add a little extra punch of peach.

  1. Peel peaches.
  2. Coarsely cut up 1 cup of peaches and add 1/4 cup sugar to them and mix.
  3. Finely dice 1 cup of peaches and add 1/4 sugar to them as well and mix.
  4. Let both cups of peaches sit for at least 20 minutes to bring out the juice.
  5. While peaches are resting, mix milk, cream, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla and salt.
  6. Puree the coarsely cut up peaches in a blender or food processor. Add the puree as well as the finely diced peaches to the milk mixture.
  7. Add to your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how to freeze.
You can eat immediately after it’s done in the ice cream maker for a soft serve or stick it in the freezer for a hard ice cream. This was my first time making peach ice cream and it won’t be my last… it’s a new summer tradition!
Waiting anxiously for the ice cream to freeze in our ice cream maker so we can try it!
