This is one of those recipes that you see picture perfect images of but doesn’t come out quite as pretty when you make it yourself. However, looks don’t matter- this bacon wrapped asparagus was delectable!

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Trim the ends of your asparagus stalks. Drizzle your asparagus with a little bit of olive oil (just enough to help the garlic stick) and sprinkle with garlic salt. Cut the bacon slices lengthwise to make narrower strips. Wrap each bacon strip tightly around an asparagus stalk. I used one piece of bacon per asparagus but it will depend on how long your asparagus is. I placed the pieces on a broiling pan. Bake for 10 minutes and use tongs to turn over. Bake for 10-15 minutes more, until the bacon is almost crispy.
