Add apples, butter, sugar and spices to a sauce pan and cook on medium heat until apples are soft, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Add the apple mixture into a blender and blend until smooth. Roll out one of your pieces of dough. I used a store bought pie crust! Spread the apple mixture evenly over this pie crust within about 3/4 of an inch of the edge. Roll out the other pie dough and poke numerous small holes in it (this keeps the crust from bubbling up). Place it on top and seal around the edge with a fork. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.
While baking, combine the icing ingredients and mix well. Once the pop tart has cooled, spread the icing on the top. Slice up and enjoy!
TIP: for extra brown, brush the top crust with melted butter before baking.
