Evercrisp: “Sweet-Tart Favorite”
Evercrisp is a newer apple released in 2012 by the Midwest Apple Improvement Association after more than a decade of careful cross- breeding. A cross of Fuji and Honeycrisp, it has a very sweet flavor, with strong floral- rose notes. It also shares Honeycrisp’s characteristic crispness. The name Evercrisp comes from this apple’s superb storability. It is a good late season alternative to Honeycrisp.
